Here you will find the latest progress report and images from the constructions of the Xchange in Bradford, UK. Previously known as Arndale House, award winning architects will transform the original commercial building into the Xchange. This development will consist of a mix of retail and residential developments over 9 floors.
These 126 one and two bedroom apartments will all benefit from a roof garden with seating and even a water feature. The Xchange is also in the absolute ideal location for shopping; directly next to the Broadway Shopping Centre (part of the Westfield shopping family).
All apartments come fully fitted with kitchens and high spec appliances, contemporary bathroom and kitchen fittings, laminate flooring to hallways, kitchen, bathroom and living area. There’s plenty of security features such as CCTV entry system and key card entry system. Secure car parking will also be available, however these will be limited.
Since Bradford is currently undertaking a 10 year regeneration plan worth £35 million, there’s no better time to invest in the area.

- Installation of Site electrical power cable network with outlets and power transformers sited on all floor levels.
- Debris cleared in all corridors and stairwells to allow for a safe working environment.
- Roof mounted generators serviced and commissioned.
The Xchange | Development Progress 31/05/2017
This update about the development progress of The Xchange in Bradford is dated from 31/05/2016. Since the last update all outstanding asbestos has been safely cleared on the ground floor all the way to the 5th floor.

Main Points:
- Works are now underway to fit the metal frames for the internal partition walls.
- Core holes are being drilled on every floor.
- One of the three lifts is being temporarily removed and a hoist is being installed to ease the supply of materials and the removal of debris.

- Internal demolition and strip out is 100 % complete.
- The internal wall partitioning on floors 3, 4 and 5 is in progress.
- Provisions for the installation of plumbing and electrics (M & E) on the site has started and is currently at 17% completion.
The Xchange | Development Progress 28/07/2017
This update about the development progress of The Xchange in Bradford is dated from 28/07/2016. Waste removal is now 90% complete and is scheduled to be finished next month.

Main Points:
- The safe removal of asbestos to the external wall panels is now complete.
- The interior stud walls and boarding on floors 3 and 4 are now complete.
- Stud wall and boarding works have begun on floors 5, 6, 7 and 8 – works are progressing well.
The Xchange | Development Progress 19/09/2017
This update about the development progress of The Xchange in Bradford is dated from 19/09/2016. As reported in our previous construction update, further asbestos was discovered on the 2nd floor of the development. A third party company, who are specialist in asbestos removal, are contracted out from the 14th September to remove the asbestos.

Main Points:
- All interiors stud walls and partition walls are currently being fitted on all floors. Floors 3 and 4 are complete.
- Interior boards have been ordered ready to fit onto the partition walls.
- Core holes are being drilled on all floors. This is for the insertion of the smoke shaft. This is due for completion imminently.
